This Building Tour is for those who operate and maintain buildings
to achieve high performance.
CSHQA’s Boise Office Building has earned a LEED® Platinum certification, the highest level, from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for its sustainable design features. The project scored 83 points, the highest number in the USGBC database for Idaho projects under the 2009, Version 3 criteria.
CSHQA provided all planning and design services to renovate a nearly 20,000 sf 1950’s brick and CMU warehouse property into a modern, state-of-the-art workspace for its Boise headquarters. Important project partners include Rocky Mountain Properties, project developer, and Jordan Wilcomb Construction, general contractor.
The LEED certification process involves many project elements including sustainable construction practices, material recycling, energy efficient heating, cooling and lighting design, daylighting and indoor environmental quality, low water design for domestic and landscape uses, storm water management, company recycling program, and alternative transportation support, including secured bike storage.
The project was recently awarded an Energy Star Rating of 96 points of a maximum 100, and has been featured in ARCHITECT, The Journal of the American Institute of Architects; Building Design & Construction and Green Building & Design.
